Role Description
On-site Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer role based in Doha, Qatar.
The HSE Officer will develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations and company standards.
Responsibilities include conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards, and recommending corrective and preventive measures.
The HSE Officer will also maintain HSE documentation, prepare compliance and performance reports, support audits, and collaborate with project teams and management to continuously improve HSE performance across operations.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Workplace Safety principles, with experience applying them in industrial or construction environments.
- Practical experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
- Relevant safety certification such as NEBOSH (or equivalent internationally recognized HSE qualification).
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Qatar and GCC HSE regulations and industry best practices in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or utilities is an advantage.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to train and influence personnel at all levels.
- Proven ability to work on-site, prioritize tasks, respond to operational needs, and collaborate effectively in a multicultural team.
- Kahramaa approval preferred.
