As the Hotel Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety protocols to ensure a secure and compliant environment for guests, staff, and visitors.
Your role
is crucial in maintaining high standards of safety, health, and hygiene within the hotel premises.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
- Identify potential health and safety hazards within the hotel premises and implement measures to mitigate risks.
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare staff for various scenarios.
- Training and Education:
- Provide health and safety training to staff members, ensuring they are aware of protocols and procedures to follow in case of emergencies.
- Organize regular training sessions and workshops to promote a culture of safety within the hotel.
Incident Management
- Respond promptly to health and safety incidents, accidents, or emergencies, and investigate the root causes to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions taken.
- Hygiene and Sanitation:
- Oversee cleanliness and sanitation practices in all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas, kitchens, and facilities.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Communicate health and safety updates, regulations, and best practices to all staff members.
- Prepare regular reports on health and safety performance, compliance status, and recommendations for improvement.
