Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the waiter team during daily operations and service periods.
  • Ensure all service standards, grooming standards, and guest interaction protocols are consistently followed.
  • Train, mentor, and coach waiters and runners on SOPs, menu knowledge, service flow, and guest handling.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift briefings and communicate operational updates to the team.
  • Monitor service quality and floor performance to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Take charge during peak hours and resolve operational or guest-related issues promptly.
  • Handle guest complaints and escalations professionally while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Drive upselling, cross-selling, and suggestive selling practices across the FOH team.
  • Monitor team upselling performance and provide continuous coaching to improve sales results.
  • Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure accurate and timely service.
  • Ensure table setup, cleanliness, and overall floor presentation meet brand standards at all times.
  • Support management in implementing service improvements and operational controls.
  • Assist in scheduling, shift allocation, and manpower coordination when required.
  • Monitor order accuracy, service timing, and table turnover efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Support onboarding and performance development of new team members.
  • Act as the main point of contact on the floor in the absence of supervisors or managers.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Senior Waiter, Head Waiter, or similar supervisory FOH role.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent guest handling and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to train and develop FOH staff.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and service standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of POS systems and order management procedures.
