The Head Pastry Chef will oversee all pastry and bakery operations, including menu development, production management, quality control, inventory management, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate is passionate about pastry arts, highly organized, and experienced in managing a professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all pastry operations.
- Develop innovative dessert, pastry, bread, and seasonal menu items.
- Ensure consistent product quality, presentation, and taste standards.
- Train, mentor, and supervise pastry staff.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and management team on menu planning and special events.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely preparation of all pastry items.
- Stay current with industry trends and introduce new techniques and products.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef, Pastry Chef, or similar leadership role.
- Formal culinary or pastry education preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking processes, and dessert presentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
