Role Purpose
To oversee the success of Group ’s Supply Chain in support of its growth and focus on strategic planning in provision of its goals by measuring progress and adjusting processes accordingly in order to meet group operations’ needs.
1. Strategy Development
Contribute to the development of group’s corporate strategy and to the derivation of its strategic plans while leading the development of the functional strategy as cascaded down from the company strategy and oversee its implementation to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing functional strategies across group.
2. People Management
Lead the team of direct and indirect reports through effective recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning in order to maximize team performance and achieve functional objectives.
3. Operational Management
Oversee the function’s daily operations by providing expertise, enabling teamwork, and aligning processes in order to make sure group’s major objectives are achieved while reaching high performance standards and meeting established targets.
4. Budget Management
Lead the development and consolidation of the functional budget and monitor the function’s financial performance versus the budget, to ensure the exercising of financial authority within established limits and the control of functional budget expenditure.
5. Procurement Management
Lead the procurement activities by specifying products or branches to follow up with, ensure the review of the quoted price offers received from suppliers and provide approvals as needed, to ensure proceeding with the best deals.
Approve the selection of suppliers by leading the tenders, RFQ and RFP’s issuance and facilitate the tendering and evaluation process by reviewing proposals from a cost perspective and ensure all activities are conducted according to the Procurement policies and procedures.
6. Supply Chain Management
Lead the optimisation strategy with the team to develop solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations while consistently reducing the company’s cost structure.
Lead the supply chain performance reviews of third-party service providers to maintain the effective and efficient procedure.
7. Warehousing Management
Lead the creation, implementation, and delivery of materials, services, and work efforts and ensure that other departments have sufficient knowledge and lead times to contribute toward the final delivery.
Lead the development and measure of key metrics for Operations including fulfilment times and rates, completion accuracy, delivery times and rates, efficiency rates, quality controls and improvements, forecasting, warehouse management, etc.
Lead the implementation of the inventory management best practices to ensure inventory levels are healthy in an accurate, forecasted and planned for manner, and actively monitored to meet the needs of the company.
8. Reports Generation & Presentation
Review the reports drafted by the team, by going over specific comments, checking suppliers’ evaluations, price variations, etc., to advise proper action of order processing and amendments.
Present to the top management all figures pertaining to Supply ChainManagement, highlighting successes, pinpointingissues, and presenting recommended action plans.
9. Policies & Procedures
Oversee the proper development, implementation, and communication of the function’s policies and procedures, to make sure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are clearly communicated and duly fulfilled.
Minimum Qualifications
§ Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Management, Finance, or relevant field
§ Certification in Supply Chain is preferable
§ Proficiency in English & Arabic is a must
Minimum Experience
§ 20 years of relevant experience out of which 12 in a managerial role
