Role overview
JGroup is a Dubai-based holding company building technology ventures across advertising, fintech, and business communications in the MENA region.
The role leads development of a new platform from architecture through delivery and works with the founder on product and roadmap decisions.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS platform.
- Build high-volume, event-driven systems targeting 99.9% uptime.
- Lead integrations with Meta, Google, CRMs, e-commerce platforms, and MENA payment providers.
- Develop usage-based billing and metering capabilities.
- Recruit and lead backend, frontend, and mobile engineers.
- Own platform security, data privacy, and compliance requirements, including UAE and Saudi PDPL.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years leading engineering teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, and message queues.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure, Docker, and CI/CD.
- Proven experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms with billing, usage metering, and high-volume APIs.
- Track record of efficient product delivery with small teams.
- Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
- Experience in CPaaS, SaaS, API-first businesses, Meta platform APIs, or LLM-powered products is a plus.
