Role Description
The Head of Safety is a full-time, on-site role based in Ajman, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures across NT.Payments’ operations.
This role leads the safety strategy, ensures compliance with local regulations and company standards, and maintains a culture of safety in offices, warehouses, and field operations.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, organizing safety audits and inspections, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
The Head of Safety will design and deliver safety training programs, maintain safety documentation and reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into business decisions.
This position also manages safety communication, leads emergency preparedness planning, and provides regular updates to senior leadership on safety performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong background in occupational health and safety management, including policy development, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
- Experience implementing safety standards, compliance frameworks, and audit processes in operational or field-based environments.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence safety culture at all levels.
- Proficiency in safety reporting, data analysis, and the use of digital tools or software to track safety indicators and trends.
- Experience in payments, fintech, logistics, or similar high-activity sectors is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are preferred.
- Proven ability to work on-site in Ajman, adapt to a multicultural environment, and collaborate effectively with teams representing multiple nationalities.
