Role purpose

Procurement and supplier management

• Develop sourcing strategy and identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers and OEM partners, particularly across Asia.
• Coordinate service requirements, spares, product failures, epidemic failures, RMAs, and other product service issues with suppliers and principals.
• Conduct market and price analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and secure competitive terms.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, agreements, warranties, and delivery timelines; build strategic supplier partnerships and manage supplier performance.
• Develop alternate sourcing plans to address shortages, tariffs, and logistics disruption.
• Oversee procurement of finished goods and parts, product specifications, compliance, and shipping schedules.
• Manage import/export compliance, freight providers, shipping agreements, costs, and delivery timing.
• Optimize procurement cycles and inventory to balance availability and cost.

Product, sales, and inventory support

• Identify multinational brands for acquisition or distribution.
• Develop product launch marketing strategies, advertisements, and brand-building initiatives; maintain brand guidelines, logos, colors, packaging, and brand consistency.
• Maintain company and brand websites and ecommerce platform integrity.
• Facilitate B2B and government project sales and support promotions, campaigns, and flash sales with sales teams.
• Align procurement with demand forecasts and launch timelines across Product, Sales, and Operations; coordinate budgets, savings, and supplier payment terms with Finance.
• Maintain lean inventory and manage ageing stock, including discounted sales of seconds through outlets or dealers.

Governance and team leadership

• Ensure supplier compliance with ethical sourcing, quality certifications, and regulatory requirements, including ESMA and SASO standards.
• Establish transparent procurement processes, supplier audits, and compliance checks.
• Lead and develop the procurement team, setting KPIs, accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement expectations.

Qualifications and experience

• 15+ years of procurement and sourcing experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership role in consumer electronics or appliances.
• Strong supplier negotiation and vendor management track record, especially with manufacturers in China and Asia.
• Hands-on OEM sourcing, contract negotiation, and international logistics experience.
• Education in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration.
