About the company and platform

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CTO on architecture, engineering standards, and major technology decisions; lead complex initiatives, own delegated work, and mentor engineers.
• Design, deploy, and optimize secure, scalable Linux-based cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure.
• Architect and manage enterprise networking, including routing, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
• Design, operate, and troubleshoot production-grade Kubernetes environments.
• Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployments.
• Implement observability, infrastructure security, incident management, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Build reusable platform services and self-service engineering workflows for Leptodon Stack and enterprise applications.
• Work with developers, project managers, and enterprise stakeholders to deliver reliable, cost-effective technical solutions.

Required skills and experience

• Ideally 10–15 years in relevant engineering, including substantial hands-on infrastructure, DevOps, systems engineering, or platform engineering work.
• Experience architecting and operating complex production environments; demonstrated technical leadership and ownership of major initiatives.
• Advanced Linux administration, security, performance optimization, and troubleshooting; strong networking expertise across TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Production Kubernetes and containerization experience, including Docker, cluster networking, storage, and security.
• Practical CI/CD, GitOps, infrastructure automation, and configuration management knowledge; Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, or comparable technologies.
• Bash, Python, or equivalent scripting; AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud platform experience.
• Working knowledge of databases, distributed systems, monitoring, logging, and infrastructure security; strong architectural judgment, independent problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Internal developer platform or self-service infrastructure experience is a plus.
• Helm, Argo CD, Flux, Prometheus, Grafana, Vault, or similar tools are advantageous.
• Multi-tenant enterprise platforms, integration frameworks, workflow technologies, AI-assisted development, AI agents, or automated engineering workflows are desirable.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise or industrial environments is advantageous; relevant certifications may include RHCE, LPIC-2, CCNP, or CKA.
