This role is responsible for managing trade finance operations for the group’s trade credit services business.
The person will be in charge of the transactional documentation department, which oversees commercial contracts, invoices, and letters of credit.
Responsibilities
- Issue all transactional documentation, including commercial contracts, invoices, and drafts of letters of credit.
- Manage the settlement process for transactions, including presenting documents, discounting letters of credit, and making customer payments.
- All necessary coordination with clients, banks and other team members, including sales, accounting, legal and compliance.
Experience
- Minimum
10 - 12+ years’
- experience in trade finance operations in banks, financial institutions and most specifically trading companies.
- Full understanding of UCP 600, Letters of credit, Guarantees, Promissory notes, Bills of Exchange and trade-related receivables.
- Knowledge of cross-border trading and transaction processes.
- Ideally, be based in the UAE already and have international experience.
Skills
- Team leader, able to mentor and manage the current department setup.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to think outside the box and to challenge the norm.
- Results-driven.
- Strong attention to detail.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university – preferred.
