Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Previous teaching and academic leadership experience is required.
- Experience in private schools in the UAE is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Head of Department or Academic Coordinator is preferred.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Manage and supervise MOE subjects according to UAE Ministry of Education and relevant educational authority requirements.
- Understand the approved curriculum, educational policies, and UAE regulations.
- Demonstrate leadership, organizational, administrative, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Monitor teacher performance and develop support and improvement plans when required.
- Prepare and monitor academic plans, assessments, and examinations.
- Be fluent in both Arabic and English.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support MOE subject teachers and monitor their performance.
- Ensure effective implementation of curricula and academic plans.
- Coordinate with school management on academic plans, assessments, and examinations.
- Monitor teaching quality and compliance with school policies and educational regulations.
- Organize departmental meetings and professional development workshops.
- Maintain departmental records and required academic reports.
- Provide ongoing academic guidance and support to teachers.
- Coordinate with educational authorities when required.
