The company is expanding from plasmid sequencing into broader genomics services, including RNA-seq.
About the role
Build and lead the global logistics function from the ground up for thousands of international shipments each week.
Own the systems, partnerships, compliance processes, and team supporting shipments across regions, time zones, and regulatory environments.
Turn a high-growth logistics operation into one that is fast, compliant, proactive, and scalable.
Core responsibilities
- Develop logistics systems for biological materials that minimize delays, reduce costs, and improve reliability.
- Ensure business continuity through contingency planning, redundancy, and sustainable logistics playbooks.
- Establish global import/export, customs, compliance, and material-handling processes.
- Create dashboards for shipment status, turnaround times, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on demand forecasting, new services, market launches, and logistical risks.
- Optimize courier and carrier relationships across first-mile and international shipping.
- Build and manage a high-performing logistics team.
Candidate profile
- 10+ years of logistics or supply-chain experience, including international shipping and first-mile transport providers.
- Experience building and scaling a logistics function, including 0-to-1 builder experience.
- Strong knowledge of customs, import/export regulations, and compliance frameworks such as IATA or DOT.
- Experience building scalable, data-driven logistics systems and using reporting tools.
- Team leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and developing people through growth and change.
- Cross-functional experience supporting product launches and customer experiences.
- Cold chain, hazmat, or similar regulated shipping experience is a plus, not a requirement.
- Biotech or life sciences experience is a plus, not a requirement.

- The role is remote-friendly.
