Mission and scope

Strategy and operational delivery

• Set KYC Operations vision and strategy aligned with servicing strategy and customer needs.
• Deliver quality, compliance, speed, and cost targets, including customer outcomes, risk indicators, and team engagement.
• Build a compliant onboarding program and its supporting metrics, targets, and governance.
• Use data and user research to improve onboarding and financial-crime controls while meeting regulatory obligations.
• Drive process improvement, risk management, and operational controls; optimize third-party services and outsourced vendors.
• Partner with Risk and Compliance on risk appetite and capabilities supporting business growth.

People and product leadership

• Ensure the right organizational structure and leaders are in place across functions and locations.
• Develop people strategy and improve skills, career paths, and performance management with People Operations.
• Oversee budgets and high-level reporting; set KPIs and development objectives for a team of 150+ people.
• Work with Product teams to deliver strong KYC products and customer experiences.

Requirements

• Typically 10+ years of operations experience, preferably in KYC/AML, financial crime, compliance, or related financial services.
• Preferably 8+ years leading and mentoring large teams.
• In-depth expertise and strategic understanding of KYC/AML regulation and evolving frameworks.
• Exceptional verbal and written English; additional languages are advantageous.
• Proficiency with Looker, Superset, or equivalent advanced analytics platforms.
• Strong initiative, communication, interpersonal, organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to identify policy and process gaps, analyze metrics, improve performance, and collaborate across teams.
