The full-time, on-site Head of IT role is based in Doha, Qatar and leads the IT function, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, and security to provide reliable, secure, and efficient systems.
- Manage the IT team; set and execute IT strategy; supervise system implementation and upgrades.
- Maintain data integrity and business continuity plans.
- Work with senior leadership and departments to identify technology needs, optimize digital workflows, and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Manage vendors and IT budgets, and improve technology solutions and user experience.
Qualifications
- Strong IT competencies; real estate or financial services experience is an advantage.
- IT management and operations capabilities, including team leadership, service delivery oversight, and incident/problem management.
- IT strategy and governance capabilities, including roadmap development, budgeting, and organizational alignment.
- Practical infrastructure experience with networks, servers, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and data backup and recovery.
- Relevant bachelor's degree; advanced degrees and ITIL, CISSP, or PMP certifications are beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders, manage vendors, and explain technical topics in business terms.
- Track record leading digital transformation or modernization, with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Integrity, compliance commitment, and readiness to work on-site in Doha.
