Overview
- Develop, implement, and oversee fixed asset and inventory management policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with hospital regulations and financial standards.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of fixed assets including acquisition, tagging, tracking, transfer, maintenance, disposal, and replacement.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date fixed asset register for all medical, non-medical, and IT equipment across hospital facilities.
- Lead periodic physical verification and asset audits to ensure accuracy between physical assets and system records.
- Monitor capital expenditures and ensure proper asset capitalization, depreciation, and accounting treatment.
- Coordinate with finance, procurement, biomedical engineering, facilities management, and IT departments regarding asset management activities.
- Oversee hospital inventory operations including medical supplies, consumables, equipment spare parts, and non-clinical inventory.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to support uninterrupted healthcare operations while minimizing excess stock and wastage.
- Analyze inventory usage trends and implement strategies to improve stock control and cost efficiency.
- Monitor inventory valuation, stock movements, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Lead annual stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits across all hospital departments and storage locations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to assets, inventory records, losses, damages, and obsolete items.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, healthcare regulations, audit requirements, and organizational policies.
- Prepare and present periodic reports on fixed assets, inventory performance, utilization, and financial impact to senior management.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate asset requirements and support budgeting and capital planning activities.
- Monitor asset utilization and recommend redeployment, replacement, or disposal of underutilized or obsolete assets.
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of asset management and inventory management systems.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor departmental performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop fixed assets and inventory teams to ensure high levels of productivity and accountability.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation, reports, and compliance evidence.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, operational efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced asset visibility across the hospital network.
- Pay: QAR1.00 per month
Education
- Bachelor's (Required)
Experience
- Accounting : 10 years (Required)
- Fixed Assets & Inventory in Oracle EBS environment.: 5 years (Required)
- accounting experience in Hospital / Healthcare.: 5 years (Required)
