Role overview

Lead engineering across a product portfolio and partner with the Head of Product to turn strategy into sustainable software.

Lead Engineering Managers across several teams and work closely with Product, Design and senior engineers.

What you’ll do

  • Help Engineering Managers set priorities, support their people and deliver software.
  • Partner with Product and Design on priorities, plans, trade-offs and customer needs.
  • Coach leaders and support their growth.
  • Address reliability risks, cross-team blockers, technical debt, architecture, security and system health with senior engineers.
  • Use delivery and team insights to identify issues early while enabling team autonomy.
  • Strengthen delivery, reliability, service ownership and incident response and learning.
  • Build an inclusive culture where people can speak up and take ownership.

Capabilities

  • Grow Engineering Managers and build healthy, capable teams.
  • Partner with Product and Design to set clear plans and make thoughtful trade-offs.
  • Guide multiple teams through complex work and address risks and dependencies early.
  • Apply technical judgment with senior engineers on architecture, technical debt, security and system health.
  • Strengthen operational excellence, reliability, service ownership and incident response.

Indicative first 6–12 month outcomes

Engineering leaders have clear direction, useful feedback and support to grow.

Teams and Product leaders share a clear view of priorities, progress and delivery risks.

Technical debt and system health are considered alongside new product work.

Teams make practical improvements to delivery, reliability and ways of working.

Work arrangement

  • Hybrid working model with two days in the office and three days remote.
