About Equipper
Equipper is a UAE marketplace for construction and industrial supplies and equipment hire.
The platform is built and in private pilot, with launch preparation underway.
The Role
Own the Equipper platform end to end, covering architecture, code review, security, releases, and on-call.
Work directly with the founder and a small team, using AI coding tools daily.
The role starts as a contract, with part-time possible and a path to full-time.
Review and lead existing work rather than rebuilding the platform.
What You’ll Do
- Own the TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL on Supabase, and edge-functions codebase and release process.
- Protect data through row-level security, access reviews, and secrets handling.
- Lead UAE payments integration, including webhooks, refunds, and reconciliation.
- Test money paths for orders, commission, VAT, and e-invoicing.
- Hire and lead engineers as the company grows.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years building production web products, including experience leading engineers.
- Experience building or running a marketplace or payments product.
- Strong PostgreSQL skills, including row-level security; remain hands-on writing and reviewing code.
- Based in the UAE and able to work from Dubai.
- Experience at a UAE or GCC B2B marketplace or e-commerce company is a strong plus.
- Arabic, UAE payment providers, PINT AE e-invoicing, and logistics are nice to have.
