Annual Tax-Free Salary

£36,500 - £42,000 + Benefits including housing, flight allowance, medical and gratuity (worth over £15,000)

Full-time, fixed term for 2 years

Aston Education is working with a thriving and vibrant international school, in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

They are looking for a full-timeHead of DART (Design, Art and Food Technology) to start in August 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent Teacher of Product Design/Resistant Materials or a middle leader to develop their leadership skills in supporting colleagues in strengthening their practice.

The job responsibilities include:

As a Head of DART (Design, Art and Food Technology), you'll work across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and develop and implement policies and practices which reflect the school's commitment to high achievement through effective teaching and learning.

You'll use data effectively to identify students who are underachieving and create and implement effective plans of action to support those students.

You'll teach Product Design and Resistant Materials across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and prepare the students for IGCSE and A level exams.

Skills and Qualifications required

  • PGCE and QTS / QTLS
  • Degree in Art, Design or related field
  • Successful UK teaching experience in Product Design/Resistant Materials at secondary school level
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Art and Design, Product Design, Resistant Materials and Food Technology
  • Proven track record of improving teaching and learning
  • Commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
