About the Project
We are hiring for our client, launching a premium indoor/semi-outdoor Cricket Academy in Abu Dhabi, designed from the ground up to serve a high-potential expatriate community.
This academy will combine world-class coaching, cutting-edge sports technology, and a premium customer experience for young boys and girls across all skill levels.
We are seeking a visionary cricket professional with strong business acumen to act as the founding operator, responsible for building the academy from concept to launch.
Role Overview
This role will begin as a hands-on freelance/consulting engagement, focused on company formation, business setup, and launch execution.
Upon successful launch, the role will transition into a full-time leadership position, heading all cricket operations and commercial growth.
1. Business Setup & Company Formation
- Work closely with the Founder to support company registration, licensing, and operational structuring in Abu Dhabi
- Assist in vendor selection, banking setup, and operational compliance requirements
- Define legal and operational frameworks required to run a sports academy in the UAE
2. Strategic Business Planning
- Build a comprehensive 3-year business plan including revenue models, pricing strategy, and enrollment planning
- Establish KPIs, unit economics, and growth roadmap
3. Facility Design & Technology Setup
- Define facility layout including pitches, nets, and equipment
- Implement modern cricket technology including video analysis and performance tracking
4. Curriculum Development
- Design structured coaching programs across all age groups
- Ensure inclusivity and progressive training methodology
5. Hiring & Team Building
- Recruit and onboard coaching staff
- Build a strong coaching culture
6. Launch Execution & Operations
- Lead end-to-end academy launch
- Oversee scheduling, parent engagement, and partnerships
Certifications (Mandatory)
- ECB Level 3 / CA Level 3 / ICC Level 3 or equivalent
Experience
- 7+ years in cricket coaching or academy management
- Experience setting up or scaling a sports academy
