Overview

1. Data Strategy & Governance

• Define and execute a comprehensive **Big Data roadmap** that supports global operations and local market nuances.
• Establish and chair a **Data Governance Council** to set standards for data quality, security, and ethics.
• Ensure full compliance with **Qatar’s Personal Data Privacy Law** and international standards like GDPR.

2. Advanced Analytics & AI

• Lead the development of **Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)** models to drive predictive insights and operational efficiency.
• Champion "Customer Zero" initiatives, testing new MLOps and product analytics tools before organization-wide rollout.
• Translate complex data science findings into actionable "C-suite" narratives that drive revenue growth or cost reduction.

3. Architecture & Infrastructure

• Oversee the design and scaling of modern data environments (e.g., **Snowflake, Databricks, or hybrid cloud/SaaS solutions**).
• Optimize ETL/ELT workflows and data lakes to ensure high availability and reliability of real-time data streams.
• Liaise with IT to ensure seamless integration between transactional systems and the central data platform.

4. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Build and mentor a high-performance team of data professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with business units (Oil & Gas, Banking, or Retail) to identify data gaps and provide bespoke intelligence solutions.
• Act as the primary subject matter expert for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• **Experience:** 12+ years in Data & Analytics, with at least 5 years in a significant leadership role (Head of or Director level).
• **Education:** Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• **Technical Proficiency:**
• Hands-on experience with **Python, SQL, and R**.
• Expertise in **Big Data technologies** (Hadoop, Spark) and **Cloud Platforms** (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Deep knowledge of BI tools like **Tableau, Power BI, or Looker**.
• **Strategic Vision:** Proven track record of leading multi-million QAR data transformation projects.
• **Communication:** Fluent in English (Arabic is a significant plus); ability to simplify "black box" algorithms for non-technical executives.
• Pay: QAR216.00 - QAR408.00 per hour
