About This Role

My client is a leading Artistics Gymnastics Coaching gym located in Dubai.

They have an exciting new opening for an assistant manager/ Gymnastics coach to join their team.

Their ideal candidate will have a fun, outgoing personality with drive and passion for gymnastics instruction, with previous experience teaching artistic gymnastics to people of all ages and genders, including children from 5-18 years.

We would love to hear from candidates who wish to relocate to Dubai from the UK, Europe and South Africa.

The role will involve the teaching and coaching of gymnasts at the gym with a focus on the Elite Team, along with managerial responsibilities such as, developing lesson and coaching plans, managing a team of instructors, ensuring emergency preparedness, creating risk assesments and team management, development plus other duties.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • University degree in gymnastics, coaching, sports science or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience as a gymnastics coach with a speciality in Artistic Gymnastics
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Head Coach
  • FIG Level 2 or above
  • Previous gymnastica judging experience
  • Previous experience as an assistant manager is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience within the artistic gymnastics field.
  • Exceptional spoken and written English, Native or Bilingual English speakers are preffered, other languages that are desirable, Spanish, Russian.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach learners of varying ages, from young children to adults.
  • Strong people skills, able to engage and understand people from different backgrounds.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience in developing and implementing training plans, curriculum building and reviewing and implementing risk assesments.
  • Strong team spirit, able to build team confidence and provide cohesive training to exisrting teams.
  • Previous experience in performance and team management.
  • Actively looking to relocate to Dubai, or has recently relocated to Dubai.
  • Membership to professional gymnastic bodies would be highly preffered.

Duties

  • and Role:
  • Athlete Training Progress & Development: Design - comprehensive training programs inclusive of Warmup/ Conditioning / Skills development that cater to the varying skill levels and age groups with focus on structuring the recreational and competitive stream capable to compete on international level. Foster a growth mindset among coaches, emphasizing individualized development plans for each athlete. In Coordination with Head of CR Initiate regular member surveys to gather feedback on training services. Increase Google review 5* rating Proper structure for comprehensive assessment for the correct placement of athletes in accordance with level and age group and ability Recommendation and outreach to faciliate abroad camps / programs for training, and outreach to host international camps Recommendation on hiring Sports Trainers Review on recommendation for moving up / progressing to next level to sign on prior to moving the gymnast up a level. Developing training pathways to gymnasts to move into the elite group/team
  • Team Building and Cohesion: Strengthen team dynamics through team-building activities and collaborative training sessions. Implement mentorship programs to facilitate relationships between experienced and newer gymnasts. Develop Internal Club Training program to enahnce on skills ability, align techniques and develop Trainers talent in coaching Review Leave request ensuring sufficient coverage during operation Inject healthy communication, and resolve any daily trainer vs trainer issues Develop Strategies to maintain Coaches and Trainers
  • Membership Retention: Develop initiatives to strengthen the connection between members and coach Analyze member dropout trends and develop retention strategies.
  • Performance & Quality Development: Continuously assess and enhance coaching methodologies to optimize athlete performance. QCC Conduct regular performance reviews and set individual development goals. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for coaches operations. Develop strategies to address weaknesses and capitalize on strengths within the gymnastics programs. Facilitate regular training sessions, workshops, and certifications to keep coaches abreast of the latest coaching techniques and safety protocols
  • Technology Integration: Explore and implement new technologies to enhance operations Ensure software solutions for efficient tracking and communication. Ensure staff proficiency in utilizing technology tools for improved service delivery.
  • Safety and Well being: Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols in training sessions and competitions.
  • Safe Environment and Safe Actions Foster an environment that prioritizes the physical and mental well-being of athletes. Ensure a proper incident reporting protocol is in place and followed Emergency Preparedness: Develop and rehearse protocols for handling emergency situations at the front desk. Ensure Emergency Numbers are accessible, visible and known along with the Emeregency Protocol. Train staff on first aid and emergency response procedures. Regularly review and update emergency contact information for members. Next of Kin. Program Diversity: Expand and diversify the gymnastics programs offered to cater to a broader range of interests and skill levels. Advance the level of Gymnastics. Ensure the basics are done properly. Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure effective communication and promotion of new programs.
  • Long-Term Program Planning: Develop a long-term strategic plan for the gymnastics program, aligning with the club's overall objectives. Evaluate and adjust coaching methodologies based on evolving trends in gymnastics and sports science.
  • Facility and Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of gymnastics equipment and training facilities. Ensure a safe and conducive training environment through regular facility inspections and maintenance checks. Implement efficient scheduling systems for optimal utilization of training spaces and resources. With the PM check for any areas that may look like they cause a danger to clients or staff and fix it Ensure the gym is always tidy and neat before and after operation
  • Talent Identification Implement a system for identifying and nurturing young talents within the club. Establish relationships with local schools and organizations to recruit potential gymnasts.
  • Competitions Responsible for assigning Coaches Tasks and timely reporting Responsible for assigning Judges Responsible for taking certain children for competition( best talent) Creating and facilitating in-house competitions with the PM Responsible for the boys and girls team Responsible for the Rhythmic team
  • Miscellaneous Any adhoc or necessary requirements from higher management need to be fulfiled

15,000 - 18,000 AED per month depending on experience
