Overview
The Head Florist is the creative and operational lead of the floral department at BIND.
This role is responsible for producing exceptional floral arrangements, managing all flower stock and supplies, leading and training the floral team, and upholding the brand's standards of quality and presentation.
The Head Florist works closely with the shop owner to set creative direction and ensure every arrangement reflects the BIND identity.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce floral arrangements, bouquets, and event pieces to a consistently high standard
- Manage daily flower stock using FIFO rotation and monitor freshness
- Receive and inspect flower deliveries — reject any stock that does not meet quality standards
- Maintain the shop floor display — always fresh and visually appealing
- Assist customers with selections and handle bespoke orders and event consultations
- Train and supervise junior floral staff
- Coordinate with the delivery team to ensure orders are prepared and packaged correctly
- Keep the chiller, prep area, and tools clean and well-organised
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional floristry experience
- At least 1 year in a senior or lead role
- Strong portfolio across different styles (classic, modern, Arabic/oriental, seasonal)
- Experience working in a retail flower shop environment
- Team leadership or training experience is a plus
- Bilingual in Arabic and English is preferred
