HEAD, CONSTRUCTION

Primary Purpose of the Job

Responsible for the transportation and offshore heavy lift installation of topsides, jackets, bridge support structures, topside floatover operations, for the BH Redevelopment Project. Ensure that installation support engineering and offshore execution, including floatover and heavy-lift activities, comply with the approved Scope of Work, AFC drawings, and QatarEnergy safety, environmental, technical standards, and specifications.

Act as an interface between Asst Manager Construction, Asset Holder, Contractor and Sr. Installation Supervisors. Provide guidance to Sr. Construction Supervisors and the Contractor to ensure that all offshore subsea installation activities are executed in accordance with QatarEnergy requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore floatover and heavy-lift installation projects, including topsides, jackets, bridges, and associated offshore structures.
• Proven experience in offshore Transportation & Installation (T&I) activities, including load-out, transportation, material inspections, and offshore execution.
• Strong experience delivering offshore Oil & Gas EPIC projects.
• Demonstrated capability to review and approve contractor engineering, construction, and installation deliverables.
• Sound knowledge of industry standards, quality, HSE, and environmental requirements.
• Experience reviewing construction method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), schedules, and technical drawings.
• Ability to identify project risks, resolve issues, and provide practical solutions.
• Experience leading and supervising multinational and multicultural contractor workforces.
• Excellent communication skills and English language proficiency.
• Experience as a Company Site Representative is an advantage.

Educational Qualifications

B.Sc. in Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized University or Diploma in Engineering (or) Petroleum Engineering or HND/Advance Diploma L3 (SVQ/NVQ-L3) or equivalent plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction.
