HEAD, CONSTRUCTION

Primary Purpose of the Job

Responsible for brownfield modification and accountable for the overall leadership, planning, management, coordination, and execution of offshore construction activities, including fabrication, offshore installation, well hook-up, tie-ins, shutdowns, modifications, asset integrity projects, commissioning support, and project handover activities. Ensure all activities comply with the approved Scope of Work, AFC drawings, engineering design requirements, and QatarEnergy safety, environmental, and technical standards.

The position ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of construction activities in compliance with Company standards, specifications, regulatory requirements, and approved project objectives while minimizing impact on production and maintaining asset integrity. The role serves as the focal point for construction interfaces between Projects, Operations, Maintenance, Marine, Drilling, Engineering, Commissioning, and Contractor organizations to ensure seamless integration and execution within operating offshore facilities

Required Experience and Skills

1. Demonstrated experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, commissioning and handover of offshore Brownfield Modification projects.
2. Proven experience in managing major EPIC Contractors and complex multi-disciplinary project teams.
3. Strong knowledge of contract administration, claims management, project controls and risk management.
4. Extensive offshore brownfield construction experience within operating facilities.
5. Experience managing onshore fabrication, offshore construction, hook-up, commissioning and start-up activities.
6. Proven leadership, decision-making, risk-management, interface-management, negotiation, planning, reporting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify bottlenecks and drive recovery actions.
7. Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
8. Robust experience in FEED and EPIC projects with the ability to review and approve Contractor installation engineering, procedures, analyses, drawings, schedules, risk assessments and readiness dossiers.

Educational Qualifications

1. B.Sc. in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent from an internationally recognized University with 15 years minimum relevant project experience, of which 10 years in Project Management in Offshore oil & gas industry.
