Job Title: Head Chef

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all kitchen operations and staff
• Design and update menus based on seasonality, availability, and customer preferences
• Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation standards
• Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Manage food inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
• Control kitchen costs and minimize waste while maintaining quality
• Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff
• Coordinate closely with the Restaurant Manager for smooth service operations
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Senior Sous Chef
• Strong knowledge of international and/or multi-cuisine cooking
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong understanding of kitchen cost control and inventory management
• Ability to work in a remote island environment with limited supply chain access
• Culinary qualification from a recognized institute is preferred
• Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as required
