About Roomservice

RoomService gives a household its own dedicated private chef — without the cost or hassle of hiring one.

Each customer is paired with a named chef who plans and cooks their meals fresh, to order, at mealtime — breakfast, lunch and dinner, personalised down to ingredients and macros — delivered hot.

It's not a meal-kit, a delivery app or a restaurant.

We make private-chef quality affordable by sharing one chef across a small cluster of nearby households and running the entire operation behind them: procurement, centralised prep (mise en place), packaging and delivery.

We've proven the experience in a pilot; now we're building the operation that scales it across Dubai.

This is a founding leadership role — you won't inherit a playbook, you'll write it.

The Role

Lead RoomService's culinary operation end to end.

You own the food — quality, consistency, and the systems that let one chef serve many households without dropping standards — and in these early months you'll also run the operation around it: procurement, delivery and the daily rhythm.

You're a head chef who can build and lead a kitchen and run an operation.

You turn a proven pilot into a repeatable, scalable, multi-kitchen operation — and you set the culinary standard the whole company is built on.

What You'Ll Own

  • Culinary leadership & quality — own the food across every chef and household; set the standard and hold it; hire, train and lead the chef team.
  • The prep system (our core IP) — design and run our centralised mise en place so one chef can fire many personalised meals at once without quality loss; standardise and document it to scale.
  • Recipe standardisation & food cost — documented, repeatable recipes with controlled portions and tight food cost; protect quality and margin together.
  • Procurement & supplier management (hands-on early on) — source ingredients, packaging and consumables to each household's standards; negotiate terms; manage stock, par levels and waste.
  • Delivery & operations (hands-on early on) — stand up and run hot, on-time delivery; manage riders, routing and time windows; own the daily rhythm.
  • Food safety & compliance — kitchen hygiene, HACCP, allergen handling and food-safety standards across the operation.
  • The playbook — SOPs across kitchen, procurement and delivery so the operation can be replicated in the next kitchen.
  • Procurement and delivery are yours to run hands-on at the start.
  • As we grow, you hire and lead a team to take them, and you step fully into leading the culinary operation across multiple kitchens.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 6–12 MONTHS)

1.

A documented, scalable prep system that lets one chef reliably serve ~20+ menus a day at full quality.

2.

Food cost and recipes under control — standardised recipes, controlled portions, food cost held to target per menu.

3.

A trained, reliable chef team delivering consistent, personalised quality across households.

4.

Hot, on-time, in-spec delivery at or above target, with a clear process when things slip.

5.

A replicable playbook — clear SOPs across kitchen, procurement and delivery, ready for the next kitchen.

What We'Re Looking For

  • A senior chef and a leader — head chef / senior sous chef background; you've run a kitchen and led a brigade, you own food cost and quality, and you can train others to your standard.
  • 8–12+ years in professional kitchens including real kitchen leadership — ideally in Dubai. Cloud-kitchen, high-volume, catering or multi-site experience a strong plus.
  • An operator, not just a chef — you can run procurement, logistics and a delivery operation, and you want to, especially in the early build.
  • Founding-minded and hands-on — you'll build systems from scratch now to lead a bigger operation later.
  • Numerate and commercial — comfortable with food cost, margins, portions and stock.
  • Valid UAE driving licence and access to a car strongly preferred; food-safety / HACCP certification a plus; Arabic alongside English a plus.

Nice To Have

  • Experience opening or setting up a kitchen / cloud kitchen from scratch.
  • Cloud-kitchen, q-commerce or delivery-operations experience.
  • Awareness of nutrition / macro-tracking (we cook to specific macros and calories).
  • Existing supplier or rider relationships in Dubai.
