The café is relaunching with a new 2026/27 menu and seeks a hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen team.
The role owns day-to-day kitchen operations, food quality, consistency, cost control, and kitchen standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and schedule the kitchen team and maintain standards on every plate.
- Deliver the menu consistently using the recipe book and plating specifications.
- Develop weekly specials and contribute to menu development.
- Manage recipe costing, portion control, ordering, stock counts, food costs, and waste tracking.
- Build supplier relationships and check deliveries for quality and price.
- Maintain compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety and HACCP standards.
- Keep preparation, mise en place, and stock rotation organized for smooth peak-time service.
- Work closely with the café manager and barista team.
Requirements
- At least 3 years as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume café, brunch, or casual dining kitchen in the UAE.
- Strong breakfast and brunch background.
- Proven food-costing and inventory experience, including meeting food-cost targets.
- Calm, organized leadership; ability to train people and maintain standards.
- Comfortable with early starts, weekends, and peak-season shifts.
- Good spoken and written English.
Preferred qualifications
- Valid food safety certification (PIC or HACCP preferred).
- Experience opening or relaunching a menu is a nice-to-have.

- The café operates from early morning to late evening; the role involves early starts, weekends, and peak-season shifts.
Pay and employment
- Pay starts at AED 8,000 per month.
