- Job Purpose
The Sales Representative – (Hatching Eggs & Day-Old Chicks) is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding the customer base, and maintaining strong relationships within the poultry sector. The role focuses on effective sales execution, market development, and customer engagement to achieve revenue targets while ensuring high standards of service, compliance, and product quality.
- Key Accountabilities
Sales Growth & Market Development
- Promote and sell hatching eggs and day-old chicks to poultry farms, distributors, and agricultural businesses.
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall departmental revenue goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within assigned territories.
- Conduct regular field visits to generate leads, develop relationships, and close sales.
- Monitor market trends, customer demand, and competitor activities to support sales planning.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with poultry farmers, hatcheries, and distributors.
- Provide accurate product information and basic technical guidance related to poultry production.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely support.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and operational issues in coordination with relevant teams.
- Maintain continuous engagement with customers to strengthen long-term partnerships.
Sales Operations & Coordination
- Prepare sales quotations, process orders, and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, and customer interactions.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to the Sales Manager.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.
- Support demand forecasting through market insights and customer feedback.
Product Promotion & Market Presence
- Support the expansion of the company’s presence within the poultry industry.
- Participate in exhibitions, promotional campaigns, and customer engagement activities.
- Contribute to strengthening brand visibility and customer awareness in the market.
Compliance & Operational Excellence

Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.

Support contract management, documentation, and commercial agreements.

Maintain high standards in product delivery and customer service.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across sales processes and operations.

Requirements and Qualifications
Academic Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in sales within poultry, agriculture, or related industries.
- Experience in hatching eggs, day-old chicks, or poultry production is preferred.
