The Hairdresser is responsible for providing professional hair care services, including cutting, styling, coloring, treatments, and consultations, while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
The role requires maintaining high standards of hygiene, customer service, and technical expertise to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Hair Services
- Perform professional haircuts, blow-dries, styling, and finishing services.
- Provide hair coloring services, including highlights, balayage, bleaching, toning, and root touch-ups.
- Conduct hair treatments such as keratin, protein, scalp treatments, and deep conditioning services.
- Recommend suitable hairstyles and treatments based on clients' hair type, face shape, and preferences.
- Stay updated on current hair trends, techniques, and products.
Client Consultation
- Conduct thorough consultations before services.
- Assess hair condition and advise clients on suitable treatments and maintenance.
- Educate clients on aftercare and product usage.
- Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
Customer Service
- Deliver a welcoming and professional salon experience.
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance at all times.
- Handle client feedback and complaints professionally.
Retail & Upselling
- Recommend salon products and services that meet client needs.
- Support retail sales targets through product knowledge and recommendations.
- Promote seasonal offers and salon packages.
Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Properly disinfect tools between clients.
- Report equipment maintenance requirements to management.
Team Support
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and salon management.
- Assist with salon opening and closing procedures.
- Support junior staff when required.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development programs.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Relevant Hairdressing or Cosmetology Certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional hairdressing experience.
- Experience in ladies' salon services preferred.
- Salon experience is an advantage.
