**Job Title:** Hair Coloring Specialist
A Hair Coloring Specialist is responsible for consulting with clients to determine desired hair color results, applying various coloring techniques, and maintaining the health and integrity of the hair.
They stay updated on trends, products, and techniques to deliver high-quality, customized results.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences, skin tone, and lifestyle
- Recommend suitable hair colors and techniques (e.g., highlights, balayage, ombré, full color)
- Mix and apply hair color, bleach, toners, and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform color corrections when needed
- Maintain hair health using conditioning and protective treatments
- Keep detailed records of formulas and client history
- Stay up to date with latest coloring trends and techniques
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of tools and workspace
- Promote and sell professional hair care products
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in hair coloring techniques
- Strong knowledge of color theory and chemical processes
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and creativity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced training in color techniques (e.g., balayage, color correction)
- Experience with professional salon products
- Portfolio of previous work
Working Conditions
- Typically works in salons, spas
- Requires standing for long periods
- Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
