Other Responsibilities

• Controls all GSE and vehicles and makes sure all are in serviceable condition.
• Ensures the daily & weekly checks of cars and GSE are correctly done by the shifts using approved authority & company procedures, documentations and processes.
• Ensure safe & smooth functioning of the GSE organization. Ensure all maintenance of the GSE equipment and vehicles is performed as required by the operation and as defined by the equipment manufacturer.
• Maintains an up-to-date inventory list of all GSE.
• Carries out work in compliance with company, health / safety and airport procedures and regulations.
• Keeps control of airport passes and permits of vehicles.

Accountabilities

• Performs all duties allocated to him/her by the GSE Supervisor
• Service Order creation for work required (Vehicles and Equipment)
• Post maintenance/repair inspection of Vehicles and GSE
• Process quotes and follow up LPO's for repairs including fuel card application and collection
• Ensure that the area around aircrafts, GSE and aircraft bays for which Etihad Airways is responsible are clear of the hazards associated with Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
• Ensure to use & maintain approved company provided PPE all the time during daily GSE activities.
• Ensure to obtain and maintain the validity of all necessary safety & operation training provided by the company (e.g. First Aid, Fire Warden, IPAF, HF, documentation).
• Ensure staff competency is performed through approved Etihad competency department for GSE staff to assess, knowledge, awareness, experience, capability, development and training.
• Behaves in a manner which reflects a professional approach when dealing with customers.
• Encourages colleagues and is actively involved in the promotion of a positive reporting culture, by reporting any unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, or safety risks.
• Familiar with, enforces and follows the procedures stipulated in the Safety and Quality Management Manual (SQMM) and becomes an active participant in the workplace safety program.

Qualifications

• Strong AMOS background preferred with strong communication skills; minimum 2 years of airline/ MRO experience preferred.
• Trained in safety procedures and precautions when handling GSE (e.g. safety precautions when dealing with Fuel, Oil, Oxygen or Nitrogen).
• Trained in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and their crucial part in daily GSE activities.
• Holding valid UAE driving license for at least 2 years (light or heavy vehicles).
• Holding valid IPAF training certificate or license.
• Minimum of 5 years’ aviation experience including at least 2 years in a related position (GSE - Aircraft Maintenance).
• Has attended the Mandatory training within 6 months of joining the company as per TPM 3.92 requirements.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, work under stress and be able to communicate perfectly in English.
• High school leaving certificate/ Diploma is preferred with background in aircraft engineering studies.
