Group Program Manager (Digital)
About This Role
The Group Program Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership and holistic success of our flagship digital transformation program, encompassing the selection, implementation, and adoption of a core SaaS solution across multiple business units and geographies.
This role defines the program vision, integrates interdependent projects, and ensures the realisation of targeted business outcomes on time, within budget, and with maximum value realisation.
Responsibilities
Program Strategy & Governance
• Define and articulate the overarching program vision, goals, and roadmap aligned with corporate strategy.
• Establish and chair the program governance structure, including steering committees with senior stakeholders.
• Secure executive sponsorship and ensure ongoing alignment on scope, benefits, and investment.
Integrated Portfolio & Dependency Management
· Manage the entire program portfolio, ensuring seamless integration of all related projects (e.g., process redesign, data migration, change management, technical deployment).
Proactively identify, track, and manage cross-project dependencies, risks, and issues.
Strategic Vendor & Partner Management
· Lead the strategic relationship with the primary SaaS vendor and key implementation partners.
Negotiate contracts, manage senior-level escalations, and ensure partnership alignment with program goals and deliverables.
Enterprise Change & Benefits Realisation
· Drive the enterprise-wide change management strategy.
Define, track, and report on program benefits realisation, ensuring the solution delivers promised ROI and business transformation outcomes.
Program Controls & Reporting
· Establish and maintain rigorous program controls for budget, timeline, quality, and resources.
Provide transparent, executive-level reporting on program health, risks, and performance to all stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Mentoring
· Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to project managers and workstream leads within the program.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture and resolve conflicts across teams and geographies.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Master’s degree or MBA is highly desirable.
·
Program Management Professional (PgMP) or MSP certification is strongly preferred; PMP or PRINCE2 is required.
Knowledge & Experience
· 10+ years of experience in program management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, multi-country SaaS implementation programs.
· A proven track record of managing large budgets and leading programs with >20 team members across multiple geographies.
· Deep understanding of SaaS business models, cloud technologies, and agile delivery methodologies.
Solid understanding of FMS and AnaPlan/IBP
