Group Procurement Director

Role overview

Strategy and value creation

• Design a group-wide procurement strategy, operating model, governance framework, policies, procedures, approval authorities, and compliance standards.
• Balance centralized strategic sourcing with decentralized operational purchasing.
• Capture procurement synergies, economies of scale, and consolidation opportunities across properties and geographies.
• Develop category strategies, group purchasing agreements, and preferred supplier frameworks.
• Deliver measurable savings while maintaining quality, service standards, and business continuity.

Supplier management and transformation

• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, performance management, supplier evaluation, risk management, and contractual governance.
• Build long-term supplier partnerships and regional and international sourcing opportunities.
• Introduce KPIs, spend analytics, dashboards, and savings measurement methods.
• Drive procurement digitalization using appropriate e-procurement platforms and purchasing systems.
• Promote procurement excellence, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Leadership and stakeholders

• Partner with hotel General Managers, Finance Directors, operational teams, and corporate leadership.
• Engage hotel owners and stakeholders to align initiatives with property requirements and ownership structures.
• Build and lead a high-performing procurement organization for a geographically diverse portfolio.

Experience and qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience, including significant leadership in strategic procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Track record establishing and scaling procurement functions across large, decentralized, multi-entity organizations.
• Strong experience in category management, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, governance, and cost optimization.
• Proven ability to generate measurable financial benefits through procurement consolidation and organizational transformation.
• Experience in hospitality, retail, food and beverage, travel retail, or other multi-site service industries; hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong commercial, financial, analytical, and technology capabilities, plus leadership, influencing, and change-management skills.
• UAE or wider GCC base, regional market knowledge, and supplier networks are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications are advantageous.
