Group Lead- VTC Assembly F Shift

Maintaining control over the production line at all times which may require close interaction with Mfg. Engineering, Maintenance and Quality.

Ensure all daily production activities are thoroughly communicated to Supervisors.

May be required to perform tasks associated with troubleshooting product quality and performance.

Maintain the production line in a safe, neat, clean and organized environment.

Assist as needed on the production line.

Respect work hours, support production goals and time-tables, which may require overtime.

Ensures the following:

Utilizing knowledge of ISO14000 & TS16949 ensures all associates follow procedures and work instructions

All production, scrap, and down time reports are completed properly and timely.

Product and/or component dimensions are checked via in-process inspection check sheets with use of various indicators and gauges as described in procedures or work instructions.

Equipment is monitored for unusual sounds, movements or appearance that may indicate problems. Addresses any abnormalities.

Changing of simple parts and fixtures to facilitate changeover of product types.

Visually and manually check for defects in product or workmanship.

Recording of process equipment settings and conditions using equipment verification check sheets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, push, pull, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

This position works in a warehouse/production environment. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment.
