Ground Segment Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• In your capacity as a Ground Segment Engineer, your role will continuously evolve, but initially your day-to-day duties will include:
• Own the ground segment for the project
• + Define the architecture of the ground segment
• + Design and develop ground segment HW and SW tools
• + Ensure reliability through rigorous automated and manual testing
• + Document the ground segment tools
• + Procure all related HW and means for the ground segment
• + Validate the ground segment performances
• Partner with testing and operations teams to understand and meet needs
• Support test procedures definition
• Support test operations
• What we would love to see from you
• In the role of Ground Segment Engineer ideally, you will have the following:
• 3+ years of experience in ground segment development for aerospace projects
• Experience with development and testing of user-facing software applications
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language like C#, Java, or similar
• Familiarity with aerospace telecommunication standards
• Knowledge of backup systems, storage management, and recovery procedures
• Experience with hardware integration and RF systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, networking, and application layers
• Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic is an asset
