Graduate Trainee Engineer- Logistic & Supply chain

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with material planning and material requirement tracking based on production requirements.
• Coordinate with purchase, production, stores, quality, and logistics teams for material availability.
• Monitor inbound and outbound logistics and timely movement of materials.
• Track inventory levels, stock availability, shortages, and excess inventory.
• Support warehouse and stores operations including receipt, storage, issue, and dispatch.
• Follow up with vendors and suppliers on deliveries and pending orders.
• Prepare MIS, inventory, and logistics status reports.
• Support purchase orders, GRN, dispatch, and material documentation.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and highlight delays or shortages.
• Assist transportation planning and transporter coordination.
• Identify cost reduction, inventory optimization, and process improvement opportunities.
• Support FIFO, 5S, Kanban, Lean, uninterrupted material flow, and OTIF, inventory, and logistics KPIs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Fresher or 0–1 year of experience.
• Good knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
• Basic understanding of inventory management, material planning, and material flow.
• Knowledge of purchase and vendor coordination, warehouse and stores management, and inbound and outbound logistics.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing or plant environment.

Preferred Technical Knowledge

• ERP or SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Preferred knowledge includes BOM, MRP, FIFO/FEFO, ABC analysis, safety stock, reorder level, EOQ, Kanban, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and logistics cost and inventory control.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes is preferred.

Pay

• Pay is ₹19,000.00–₹20,000.00 per month.
