The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Engineer (UAE National) to begin their professional career within a leading global engineering consultancy.
The role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to oil and gas and energy transition projects, while supporting your technical, professional and leadership development through structured graduate.
Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will contribute to electrical design, analysis, documentation and coordination activities while developing the skills required for a successful long-term career at Wood.

The Key Objectives For This Role Are
- Build a strong foundation in electrical engineering design and project execution
- Develop technical competence through structured learning and on-the-job experience
- Support safe, high-quality and timely project delivery
- Progress toward independent engineering responsibility over time
Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of electrical engineering deliverables including calculations, drawings, datasheets and specifications
- Support electrical studies such as load lists, cable sizing, earthing, lighting and power distribution
- Work closely with senior engineers to understand project requirements and execution strategies
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
- Participate in design reviews, workshops and risk assessments as required
- Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, standards and client specifications
- Actively engage in graduate development, mentoring and training activities

Expected
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• UAE National (Emirati)
- Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering principles
- Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Motivation to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment
- Ability to work full time from Wood’s Abu Dhabi office
