Responsibilities
- What you’ll be doing
- You will provide support and advice to function risk committees, forums and Tier 1 Executive meetings, ensuring they operate to high governance standards. You’ll oversee senior risk committee inputs, ensuring papers are clear, use the appropriate templates, present the function’s view objectively and meet governance requirements.
- You’ll track action plans arising from second and third-line activity, ensuring actions are completed in a timely way and progress accurately reported. You will support Executives and Material Risk Takers to evidence compliance with group governance requirements over risk and control.
- You will design and deliver processes that keep your stakeholders informed of regulatory activity and relevant internal and external standards, including the Senior Managers Regime. Alongside this, you’ll provide secretariat services, including agendas, meeting arrangements, packs, minutes and action records, and look for opportunities to make improvements. You will also be responsible for supporting a range of MRTs with governance activity outside of formal committee structures.
- You will be required to take minutes during meetings, or review and provide feedback on draft minutes created by another team member, ensuring consistent delivery of comprehensive and well-judged minutes that meet governance and evidential standards. You’ll monitor governance framework compliance, influence improvements and report on actions following breaches of board or executive trigger or limit levels.
- This is a role that spans across Retail and Group Customer Operations, and you’ll collaborate across Risk, Governance and business teams and provide direction, coaching and support to colleagues as a senior member of the team.
