GOVERNANCE MANAGER

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain corporate governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with internal governance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support board, executive committee, and governance committee activities.
• Coordinate governance reporting, documentation, and record-keeping processes.
• Conduct governance reviews and recommend improvements to policies and controls.
• Collaborate with risk management, compliance, legal, and internal audit functions.
• Monitor organizational adherence to governance principles and ethical standards.
• Prepare governance reports, presentations, and management updates.
• Support enterprise-wide policy management and governance initiatives.
• Identify governance risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance and training on governance-related matters across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Corporate Governance, Law, Finance, Risk Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree or relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as CGEIT, GRCP, ICSA/CGI, CRMA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in governance, compliance, risk management, internal audit, or corporate affairs roles.
• Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
• Experience preparing governance reports and supporting executive or board-level activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and governance management systems.
