Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Cantonese Bilingual Expert to work on a contractor basis.

This individual will play a key role in facilitating high-quality language solutions, utilizing expertise in Cantonese and English to drive impactful translation, linguistic review, and AI training projects.

The Cantonese Bilingual Expert will work closely with AI teams to train and refine language models for optimal performance, making a real difference in the development of frontier AI models.

This opportunity is unique in the tech industry, offering a chance to collaborate with a global network of experts to build reliable AI agents through advanced evaluations and reinforcement learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate and localize a variety of content accurately between Cantonese and English, ensuring cultural and contextual relevance.
  • Review and edit linguistic data to ensure cultural and contextual relevance, providing expert insights on Cantonese language usage, nuances, and regional differences.
  • Collaborate with AI teams to train and refine language models for optimal performance, leveraging expertise in Cantonese and English to drive impactful projects.
  • Deliver constructive feedback and insights to improve language model performance, driving the development of more accurate and reliable AI systems.
  • Provide expert support in the development of AI training data, evaluations, and feedback loops that improve how models perform across domains like finance, healthcare, and engineering.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Cantonese language teaching or translation, with a strong background in linguistics and language usage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information accurately and clearly.
  • Strong understanding of AI training data requirements, including the ability to identify and resolve linguistic data issues.
  • Experience working with AI teams to train and refine language models, with a strong understanding of AI system performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in AI training data evaluation tools and methodologies, with the ability to analyze and improve language model performance.
