Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Geriatric Medicine Doctor to provide exceptional care to our elderly patients.
The successful candidate will focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of complex health issues common in the elderly population, promoting their overall health and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive geriatric assessments including physical, mental, and social evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment and care plans tailored to the unique needs of elderly patients
- Manage chronic illnesses such as dementia, osteoporosis, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases common in older adults
- Educate patients and caregivers on health maintenance, medication management, and lifestyle adjustments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, therapists, and social workers for holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to all clinical governance standards
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on advancements in geriatric medicine
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Geriatric Medicine
- Valid medical license to practice
- Minimum 3 years of experience in geriatric medicine or related field
- Strong clinical knowledge of age-related health conditions and treatments
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
