Geotechnical Engineering Manager / Ground Engineering Director

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical engineering design, investigations, and project delivery.
• Manage soil investigations, foundation assessments, slope stability, and ground improvement works.
• Review geotechnical reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with civil and structural engineers, contractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Assess ground conditions, geotechnical risks, and potential construction challenges.
• Recommend solutions for foundations, earthworks, retaining structures, and excavation works.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with approved designs and standards.
• Support planning, tendering, cost estimation, and technical evaluations.
• Identify and resolve geotechnical and construction-related issues.
• Lead and mentor geotechnical engineers and technical teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, ground engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, slope stability, excavation, and ground improvement.
• Experience with geotechnical investigations, testing, analysis, and technical reporting.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Professional engineering registration or relevant certification is an advantage.
