• Policies, Processes & Procedures
- Implements approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of the Security department so that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are adhered to while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
- Day-to-Day Operations
- Supervises the implementation of the day-to-day operations assigned for the Security department to ensure they comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
• Investigation & Reporting
- Supervises the effective implementation of the incident investigation process and undertakes, as necessary, investigations and reporting of Security incidents (where required, in conjunction with appropriate agencies) in a timely and correct manner, and makes recommendations based on the outcomes of such incidents.
• Training & Embedment
- Plans, organises and conducts a wide range of Security training courses for all levels within the organisation to promote Security awareness and reduce the number and severity of Security incidents.
• Maintenance, Testing & Inspection
- Controls and coordinates all maintenance and testing of Security protection systems throughout the plant to ensure their operational readiness.
- Develops and initiates routine evaluations of the workplace, as required, advising on all aspects of Security precautions to identify any areas of non-conformance with local regulatory requirements and internationally accepted standards, and recommends solutions to ensure compliance.
- Maintains familiarity with local regulatory requirements and international standards.
• Safety, Quality & Environment
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- People Management
- Supervises the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within the Security department is carried out efficiently and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and individual performance targets.
- Related Assignments
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
