Job Details Job ID: 5882494 Application Deadline: Aug 23, 2026 4:00 PM (Central Standard Time) Posted: Aug 12, 2026 Starting Date: Immediately Locations Operations Facility - Waukee, Iowa Job Description Position Criteria: - High School Education or equivalent - General construction skills - electrical, plumbing, carpentry, required - Self-starter with the ability to move from project to project independently - Scissor lift and forklift certification required or willingness to obtain Performance Criteria: - Assist Electrician, Plumber/ HVAC, Carpenter, Grounds on planned projects - Assist with Central receiving and warehouse as needed - Operate assorted equipment ( forklift , Skid loader, Mowers, Aerial Lift, Snow Plow) as needed - Check in and maintain district owned vehicles - Plowing snow in winter months when required - Light carpentry and paint projects on an independent basis - Move furniture, equipment and supplies - Change Filters in HVAC systems, maintain inventory logs and place orders for stock - General labor as required, including HVAC, electrical, warehouse, and construction projects - Radon Inspection Physical Demands: The General Services Worker position's physical demands include the following: maximum occasional lift of 55 lbs from floor to waist; maximum frequent lift of 60 lbs from floor to waist; maximum occasional horizontal push force of 45 lbs; maximum occasional horizontal pull force of 45 lbs; occasional climb of 12-20 inches; constant forward reach; constant lateral reach; frequent overhead reach; frequent bend; frequent bend/crouch; frequent crouch/kneel; frequent neck flexion; frequent neck extension; frequent neck rotation; occasional trunk rotation; frequent fine motor coordination; constant hand coordination; constant balance; constant standing; constant walking; occasional sitting.
