Role overview

Duties and outputs

• Support workshop manufacturing activities and coordinate with the Storeman, Manufacturing Team Leader and Production Manager.
• Attend daily action briefings and understand daily risks and activities.
• Move materials and products around the workshop; load and unload goods delivered to or released from the workshop.
• Assist with routine maintenance and development of operational processes and procedures.
• Follow safety procedures and risk assessments; support welders, fabricators, the Storeman and Manufacturing Support team.
• Deliver or collect goods and equipment from subcontractors and suppliers as needed.
• Follow Goods-In and Goods-Out procedures and ensure workshop equipment is PAT tested and recorded.

Candidate requirements

• Previous forklift truck operating experience.
• Full driving licence with a clean record.
• Experience following processes, procedures and specifications.
• Questioning attitude, teamwork, organisation and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team with a can-do attitude.
