Job Description

  • An General Mechanic serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members.
  • To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
  • Previous experience, preferably in a hotel or a similar varied work environment such as ships, hospitals, or retail businesses
  • An Mechanic al trade qualification, required
  • Current knowledge of general maintenance, engineering work, and Guest room repairs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to work without close supervision and within established timeframes
  • Strong work ethic
  • A passion for managing a variety of projects and tasks throughout the day

Responsibilities

  • To respond as quickly as possible to maintenance requests from both clients and colleagues.
  • To maintain a shift log book as a record for all occurrence during the assigned shift.
  • To carry out preventive maintenance tasks whenever they are assigned making sure to fully complete the required documentation.
  • To respond immediately to all emergency calls for leakage, fire, power, etc.
  • To ensure the implementation of all instructions given by the Assistant Director of Engineering / or Duty Foreman.
  • To help with the installation of new equipment when required.
  • To be responsible for cleanliness and protection of surroundings whilst performing work.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned and should be multi-tasking.
  • To respond to changes in the (enter function) function as dictated by the industry, company or the Hotel.
