The opportunity
The General Manager will run and grow the business, own P&L, lead a multidisciplinary team, and convert pipeline into signed and delivered work.
The role reports to the Founding Partners and has a mandate to shape the operating model.
What you will lead
- Grow large accounts across mining, utilities, aviation, real estate, waste, and government.
- Manage pricing, commercial terms, margins, cash flow, and the annual plan.
- Oversee pipeline, delivery, risk reviews, and quality control for client and registry submissions.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of consultants and specialists.
- Manage relationships with clients, RVCMC, regulators, registries, VVBs, partners, and investors.
- Develop proposals, frameworks, and partnerships to build market position.
What you bring
- At least 12 years of experience, including at least 4 years leading a business, practice, or unit with P&L accountability.
- Depth in carbon markets or climate advisory, with projects taken through registration and issuance.
- A record of winning and delivering work with large corporates or government; Saudi Arabia or GCC experience is preferred.
- Fluent English; professional Arabic is strongly preferred.
- Degree in engineering, science, economics, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
Essential expertise
- Knowledge of voluntary carbon market standards and issuance, including Verra VCS, Gold Standard, Puro.earth, and CORSIA.
- Knowledge of credit offtake, pricing, revenue models, and GHG accounting fundamentals.
- Knowledge of the Saudi landscape, including RVCMC and NCEC.
