Role Description
The Founder of Business, Réseau et Entreprise au Féminin (B.R.E.F) will lead the overall vision, strategy, and operations of the organization in a full-time, remote capacity.
Day-to-day responsibilities include defining and refining the mission, setting strategic priorities, and overseeing program development to support entrepreneurship and professional networking.
The Founder will build and maintain partnerships, manage stakeholder relationships, and represent B.R.E.F in virtual events, meetings, and collaborations.
This role also includes overseeing financial planning and fundraising efforts, coordinating remote teams or contractors, and ensuring that initiatives align with the organization’s values and goals.
The Founder will continuously assess performance metrics, identify opportunities for growth, and implement improvements across all areas of the organization.
Qualifications
- Strategic leadership and vision-setting experience, with the ability to define long-term goals and translate them into practical plans.
- Strong business development, networking, and partnership-building skills to grow an entrepreneurial and professional community.
- Experience in organizational management, including operations oversight, remote team coordination, and project management.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, fundraising, and resource allocation in a startup or nonprofit context.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly, negotiate effectively, and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory practices in leadership and organizational culture.
- Comfort with remote work tools, digital collaboration platforms, and virtual event management.
- Previous experience as a founder, entrepreneur, or senior leader is highly beneficial; relevant academic background in business, management, or a related field is an asset but not required.
