About The Job

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate posting of all journal entries.
• Perform monthly closing procedures, including accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and financial standards (e.g., USALI).
• Work closely with accounts payable, receivable, and other finance team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Oversee the daily audit of hotel revenue streams, including rooms, food & beverage, spa, and other outlets.
• Verify the accuracy of daily revenue reports and reconcile against POS and PMS systems.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue postings, voids, discounts, and payment variances.
• Ensure proper recording of service charges, taxes, and gratuities in accordance with policies.
• Review night audit summaries and collaborate with front office and F&B departments to ensure compliance.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent is a plus).
• 10+ years of experience in hotel or hospitality accounting, with a focus on AP and general ledger functions.
• Strong understanding of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).
• Experience with hotel accounting software such as FMC, SunSystems, OPERA or similar platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a team and collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
