Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **General Accountant** to manage and oversee daily accounting operations, with a strong focus on **Accounts Receivable (AR)** and **Accounts Payable (AP)** processes.
The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, support month-end closings, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily AR and AP transactions.
- Ensure timely billing, collection, and recording of receivables.
- Review and reconcile vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and assist in cash flow forecasting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, with strong knowledge of AR and AP.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Familiarity with VAT regulations.
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: Up to AED4,000.00 per month
